Thank you to our sponsors, the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, for coordinating a card writing campaign for our residents. We look forward to receiving the personal cards and sharing them with our residents and staff. If you are looking for a project to undertake while you are home, cards, letters and notes—both physical and electronic—would be most appreciated by our staff and residents. Electronic communications may be sent to info@peacecarenj.org. Mailed items may be sent to: Tom Sheehy, Peace Care St. Jospeh’s, 537 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306.
To show our appreciation for all of our employees who are working hard providing direct care and support, we are now offering tea and snacks. They were so appreciative of this small gesture. “Thank you and God Bless. It’s the little things that make us happy to be part of the Peace Care team.” We began offering a 10-minute guided meditation for staff and continue to play soothing instrumental music throughout the building for residents and staff alike to enjoy.
This morning’s featured activities included target ball and balloon tosses. This afternoon residents enjoyed donuts and coffee on each unit. Visit our Facebook page for more photos.
Today’s lunch was Grilled Hot Dogs with Sauerkraut, Baked Beans, and Cinnamon Apple Sauce. For dinner, residents enjoyed Chicken Teriyaki, Fried Rice, and Stir Fry Vegetables with Vanilla Cake with Chocolate Icing for dessert.
Our leadership team continues to meet throughout the day and remains in regular contact with the CDC,CMS, NJDOH, and government officials.
Thank you to our residents and families for entrusting us with your care. Thank you to our staff for all that you do and continue to do. Be well and stay safe.
