The Coronavirus 2019 (Covid-2019) outbreak is causing great concern across the globe. Peace Care has implemented our preparedness plan to carefully and proactively ensure the overall well-being of those entrusted to our care, our staff, and the community at both Peace Care St. Ann’s and Peace Care St. Joseph’s. Peace Care leaders are carefully monitoring the ever-changing information and developments, and are updating and executing our preparedness plan, as needed.

Because we care for the most vulnerable population—and out of an abundance of caution to prioritize their health and protection—Peace Care is implementing aggressive precautionary measures as guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, and the New Jersey Department of Health.

Visitation is restricted (Effective Friday, March 13, 2020 and until further notice).

Only individuals visiting a loved one who is on end-of-life care or those with extenuating circumstances will be permitted at this time. Requests for such visits can be made by contacting Peace Care St. Ann’s at 201.433.0950 or Peace Care St. Joseph’s at 201.653.8300 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

As always, if there is a change in a resident or patient’s condition, our nursing staff will notify the responsible party. You may opt in to receive daily updates by emailing mmount@peacecarenj.org to be added to the list.

Be assured that we are following all CDC guidelines in terms of isolating and testing residents with suspicion of Covid-19 (fever, shortness of breath, cough in absence of documented flu). Right now, we have NOT had a single care that is suspicious.
