Peace Care St. Joseph resident Mary Gibson hit a huge milestone as she celebrated her 110th birthday. This weeklong celebration began on Sunday, June 2nd, with a family birthday party at Peace Care St. Joseph’s. Five generations were on-hand to celebrate this festive occasion in advance of her actual on June 6th. On Thursday, June 6th, Governor Phil Murphy phoned Mary to personally wish her a Happy Birthday. The call was captured by WABC-NY 7 reporter Toni Yates and her cameraman who stopped by to capture this historic milestone. Toni interviewed Mary, her daughters and Administrator Tom Sheehy. Mary was also featured in the Jersey Journal and Star Ledger. In addition to the Governor’s phone call, Mary received special certificates from Governor Murphy, Senator Cory Booker and, Bob Menendez, and Rep. Donald Payne as well as a Proclamation from Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop.
